SpaceSouls
Hello everyone, Welcome to the SpaceSouls!
This is my project that I prepared following the course on Coursera. I have included several design modifications the course required. I'm super proud of what I have come up with this project. Here are some of the modifications I have included over the tutorial project :
- Created a coherent level.
- The game has 2 levels but each is unique in its own way and pretty challenging and fun.
- The game menus are completely changed. It is very pretty(Not that the original wasn't :) )
- Several game items' skins have been changed. The player, enemies, bosses etc.
- There are several graphical changes. The player's ship, enemies sprites.
- There are couple of power-ups to be picked up. They have a chance drop from enemies. (Bigger the enemy, better the chance for an item to drop ;) )
- There are several different ways the enemies behave. There are spawn points, enemies with summoning abilities, Different bosses with different abilities, different mini-bosses with unique designs.
- There are challenges within the game. The Arena mode (Spoiler Alert) is a challenge itself.
- The game UI is completely changed. There are several indications of HP, Objectives etc.
- There are many improvements over tutorial projects. Several gameplay, mechanical and visual improvements. Play the game to see them all :)
I'd like to say thank you to Michigan University and Coursera for providing an opportunity like this.
P.S : I know the game is pretty challenging (Couldn't finish it myself lol) But you know, Gotta git gud!

Cool game! Very nicely polished! It brings back memories of old childhood games. ;)
Thank you very much. Highly appreciated the feedback^^
Cool game! The art was great and the audio was pretty good too.
Currently, the spaceship is quite snappy and doesn't really feel like you're controlling a spaceship. Other than that, it was a cool game, well done!
Oh thanks^^. I'm looking forward to update the game in the future. I agree with it being a little bit too snappy.
Just Lovable stuff^^
